29 May 2018: Applications for award category listing on this year's consumer voting form close 31-May. Nominating your company or brands give you access to the direct voting app and other lobbying assets which enable your customers to vote for you - in your elected categories - without having to navigate the main voting form.
With 83 award categories covering the services experienced by consumers when planning, purchasing and satisfaction with their actual holiday, the main voting form can prove an unwieldy document to navigate. We have developed the main voting form to be as user-friendly as possible, but the benefits of nominating your company or brands - which gives you access to the direct voting app - means your customers can vote for you without having to access the main voting form or see the competing companies in your elected categories.
Consumer voting opens on 02-July. During June the British Travel Awards will review the award categories. In those considered not to offer a representative selection of choices, additional companies/brands will be included on the main voting form, based upon the number of consumer votes received in previous years. These additional companies will not have access to the direct voting app.
The customer lobbying activities of nominated companies, combined with activation of their direct voting app, have accounted for over 90% of the overall votes cast in previous British Travel Awards. The nomination fee is £150 + VAT per brand/per category. This fee enables the British Travel Awards to retain its independence and set it apart from other travel awards.
The British Travel Awards is the largest poll of consumer opinion on the performance of enterprises operating in the leisure travel sector. Winning companies can be justifiably proud of their achievements and displaying the BTA winners logo is a recognised influencer of consumer choice.
