A company that owns or operates a fleet of cruise ships and markets cruise itineraries to the public through travel retailers or by direct sell.


Entry Criteria


Open to cruise lines/brands that:

  • Offer packaged cruise holidays on vessels they own or operate.
  • Have valid ATOL protection and display on the CAA website authorised passengers for the year of the licence holder's current licence.
  • OR, customer protection must be provided in the event of company failure via a recognised bonding or insurance scheme.

A50 - Best Luxury Cruise Line

A51 - Best Family Cruise Line

A52 - Best Specialist Cruise Line (Ocean & Expedition)

A53 - Best River Cruise Line

A54 - No-fly Cruise Line

A55 - Best Large Ships Cruise Line

Cruise ships carrying more than 2,000 passengers.

A56 - Best Midsize Ships Cruise Line

Cruise ships carrying 950 - 2,000 passengers.

A57 - Best Small Ships Cruise Line

Cruise ships carrying 350 - 949 passengers.

A58 - Best Ultra-Small / Boutique Cruise Line

Cruise ships carrying less than 350 passengers.

A59 - Best Ferry / Mini Cruise Operator

Scheduled short sea crossing/mini cruise operators.
